Removal of teeth
Unfortunately, not all teeth can be restored and there are a number of reasons why a tooth may need to be removed. Removing a tooth should be a last resort as no artificial replacement is stronger and/or as efficient for biting and chewing than a natural tooth.
Your tooth may need to be removed if there is:
- a dental abscess and root canal treatment is not possible;
- severe bone loss due to gum disease;
- impacted and/or infected wisdom teeth;
- space needed for orthodontic treatment;
- retained baby teeth.
If you do need to have a tooth removed, our team of experienced and gentle dentists ensure your procedure is pain free and that you are comfortable every step of the way.
