It’s school holidays again and a perfect time to get the kids’ to all their check-ups for their eyes, teeth and general health. Taking your child to the dentist is the best way to prevent problems, like tooth decay, and it helps both you and your child learn how to maintain a healthy smile. By learning good oral hygiene habits now, your children will be able to prevent painful and costly problems with their teeth later in life.
At Greenland Dental we have always made it our priority to maintain reasonable and affordable fees for all our services. But dental care, especially routine visits, is not easily affordable for many families. With the costs of living and raising children, many families are simply not able to take their kids to the dentist. We find that many parents are unaware that their children could be having regular dental checkups (and treatment if needed) at a private dentist for free!
The Child Dental Benefit Schedule (CDBS) was implemented by Medicare in 2014. The schedule has been developed to ease the financial pressure of dental care for children of eligible families. Eligible children aged 2-17 years can receive $1000 in dental services over a two year period. The best part is that you can go to your private family dentist (so long as they are participating) and have your children’s treatment completed by someone you know and trust. Greenland Dental proudly supports Medicare’s Child Dental Benefit Schedule and bulk bills all services that are available through the schedule.
We know how busy you are as parents and, with that in mind, we have added a new feature to our website. You can now have us check your child’s eligibility for bulk-billed dental services by simply completing a quick form. To complete the form and have us check your child’s eligibility please click here. Alternatively, you can call our practice on during (07)5495 4266 our opening hours.
We hope you all have a very fun and safe school holidays.
